Recent research has revealed that the width of the openings in brick walls significantly reduces the energy dissipation of reinforced concrete portals as the percentage of holes increases. In infrastructure, a drainage study in Padang demonstrated the need for normalization of Bandar Lurus to handle a flood discharge of 66.48 m³/s (25-year return period) to prevent overflow into secondary channels. In structures, honeycomb rafter beams (HC profile 900x200x11x17) were proven effective for earthquake-resistant warehouses in Bekasi using the LRFD method, while variations in reinforcing steel quality affected the performance of concrete beams—high quality (550 MPa) increased moment capacity but decreased ductility. Optimization of raft foundations for educational buildings achieved a settlement of 46,997 mm (<100 mm permitted) at a cost of IDR 1.67 billion. In the water resources sector, irrigation needs calculations in Batang Kuranji compared the CROPWAT 8.0, Modified Penman, and Penman-Monteith methods, revealing an optimal discharge of 1,302-1,342 l/s/ha. An analysis of the vertical clearance of the Batang Tapakis toll bridge indicates a non-compliance with standards (3 m vs. 5.1 m) due to a 1.44 m post-construction water level rise. These findings complement an analysis of factors influencing the selection of a PPP scheme for infrastructure financing, emphasizing risk considerations and investment return patterns.
