Jurnal Bangunan, Konstruksi & Desain (JBKD) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. To safeguard scholarly work and ensure it remains available to the academic community and the public, JBKD has implemented the following archiving policy:

Digital Archiving

All published articles in JBKD are securely archived to guarantee long-term access, even in the event of technical issues or if the journal ceases publication. The journal collaborates with trusted digital preservation services to maintain the integrity and availability of its content.

Archiving Services

JBKD utilizes the following reliable digital preservation platforms:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): JBKD is preserved within the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network, ensuring that all journal content is safely archived in multiple locations worldwide. PKP PN provides free preservation services for Open Journal Systems (OJS) journals.
  • Portico: JBKD is also archived through Portico, a leading digital preservation service that provides long-term solutions for scholarly content. Portico ensures that the journal's content remains accessible even in cases of catastrophic events or if the journal discontinues publication.

Self-Archiving Policy

JBKD encourages authors to self-archive their published work in institutional or subject-specific repositories. Authors are permitted to archive the following versions:

  • Preprint: The version of the manuscript before peer review.
  • Postprint: The final accepted manuscript after peer review but before copyediting and formatting.
  • Published Version (Version of Record): The final version of the article as it appears in the journal.

Authors are free to archive these versions without any embargo, ensuring wider dissemination and accessibility of their research.

Long-Term Preservation

In addition to utilizing PKP PN and Portico, JBKD maintains its own digital backups on secure servers to prevent data loss and ensure content availability. These backups are regularly updated to ensure the continued preservation of the journal's content.

By partnering with PKP PN and Portico, JBKD guarantees the long-term preservation of its published content, supporting open access to scholarly research for future generations.
