Jurnal Bangunan, Konstruksi & Desain (Journal of Building: Construction & Design) is a scientific publication that contains research, development or application of theory in the field of building design and construction. The BKD Journal discusses topics such as structural planning, building materials, construction technology, construction methods, material testing, and construction project planning & design. The aim of this academic journal is to enrich knowledge and understanding of how to build and design buildings that are efficient, safe and sustainable. This journal is often aimed at professionals in the fields of civil engineering, and construction, as well as students and academics interested in these fields.

Starting from edition volume 2 in 2024, the JBKD Journal will be published in March, June, September and December. These changes by the editorial team are based on publication needs each semester. By publishing four times every year, it is hoped that the JBKD Journal can become a publication medium for research by the academic community at Andalas University and other universities.

In the third edition in 2023 there are geotechnical papers on field soil density and liquefaction potential and papers in the field of construction management in the form of work safety and design using BIM technology. There is a paper about the potential for generating electricity from the topic of water resources.
